Finding Nuvigil – A Brief Review

What Is Nuvigil and Its Benefits

Nuvigil is a very powerful nootropic drug with a wide range of cognitive benefits that include increased focus, mood, memory, and overall cognition. Nuvigil, the brand name for the generic drug, Armodafinil, is a brand name prescription with stimulating qualities. It was created by Cephalon Pharmaceuticals shortly after its parent drug Modafinil was invented. Armodafinil is the more powerful of the two when comparing Armodafinil and Modafinil.

Dosage

Nuvigil should be used in dosages of 50-100 milligrams per day, possibly taken 1-2 times daily for best effects. Nuvigil is typically used by those in stressful environments (start-ups, Wall Street, high-pressure sales jobs, night-shift workers) in an effort to give its users a powerful boost.

Side Effects

Nuvigil, with all the miraculous effects it can have on the human body, has a number of side effects that can be quite unpleasant..to say the least. These include but are not limited to:

  • Upset stomach
  • Headaches
  • Tiredness, weakness
  • Loss of Appetite
  • Increased thirst
  • Fever

Most of these won’t occur, or will at least be manageable if you use sparingly and at proper dosages.

Nuvigil Addiction

Nuvigil addiction is not entirely unheard of, though is very uncommon, to say the least. Modafinil and Armodafinil aren’t really stimulants, they’re just “wakefulness-promoting” which means, while you may get a “buzz” or a “high” off of these drugs, they aren’t going to really give you a tweaked out feeling like a number of other things (that I won’t mention here…but that we all know about) will. Nuvigil is more for clean focus and productivity and is used in just this way. Whether Cheap Nuvigil or expensive generic Armodafinil, there’s always some risk when taking a powerful and potent nootropic.

Nuvigil Withdrawal

Now if you take it like crazy, and you take it ALL the time for some reason, yeah you’ll get a withdrawal from it, not gonna lie about that. Heck caffeine has a withdrawal, so a pharmaceutical grade wakefulness enhancer, if you use it on a regular basis, heck yeah you’ll have something of a withdrawal. Withdrawal symptoms typically manifest themselves as the opposite of the benefits, these can include tiredness, depression, increased appetite, and sleeping a lot. Not too bad, but not exactly pleasant either.

Comparison of Nuvigil With Provigil

Nuvigil was approved in 2007, while Provigil was approved in the ’90s. Both are FDA approved prescriptions. While Provigil is the more researched nootropic of the two, both are still being researched for a number of beneficial reasons, including to support proof that they can be adequately used as “Smart Drugs” in an effort to boost brain power in the healthy.

Research is in development right now for what people currently use it for off-label, such as jet lag, worker-shift sleep, and pulling all-nighters. Dave Asprey, a popular internet marketer, has been quoted on CNN as stating that the drug helped him to get through his MBA at Wharton, as well as perform highly while working his startup that he sold for over $6,000,000!

If millionaire entrepreneurs are using it, why not trial nootropics for yourself and see what your brain is missing out on! Personally, I’ve taken it a number of times and while I can definitively say that it is not “the Limitless Pill” or “NZT48” or Magic pixie dust like a lot of these blogs and youtube videos out there are saying, I can in-fact attest that it does work, and work damn good!

Comparison of Nuvigil With Adrafinil

The two don’t even compare with regards to stimulating effects. Well, they do…but Nuvigil blows Adrafinil out of the water by about a factor of 2 or 3. Adrafinil is good because it’s legal, Nuvigil, well you need a prescription for it (or you can order it from some sketchy online pharma stores, of which I really don’t recommend. But to each his own I guess.)

Comparison of Nuvigil With Armodafinil

Personally, I’ve tried both, and they’re both the same. Armodafinil is Armodafinil, as long as it’s actually that.

Legal Status

It is legal if you have a doctor’s prescription, and is legal to import in some countries…the names of which don’t strike my mind right now. Not legal to sell or import.

Legal Nuvigil Alternatives

Adrafinil, Hydrafinil, Noopept, Piracetam, other analogues and nootropics.

Purchasing Affordable Nuvigil

Nuvigil is actually very effective as a nootropic, and at the risk of sounding overzealous, it may actually be the most powerful nootropic currently on the market right now. It’s quite difficult to get your hands on, but if you can get a prescription for it or you’ve got a buddy into nootropics who’s got the hook-up, it’s worth a shot I’ll tell you that much. Nuvigil is around 2x as powerful as Provigil, and 6x as strong as Adrafinil, Just a low dose of 50 milligrams can last for as long as 15 hours! That’s unprecedented, people get up at 5 o’ clock in the morning and are wired out of there minds on some super drug until 8 pm! 2016 ladies and gentleman, it’s happening, the era of “Smart Drug” enhanced humans is here!
