Is Iso Brain A Smart Decision?

At this point the shoddiness factor of the nootropic scene is getting down right laughable. The bold claims, the catchy ad slogans, it’s all a bit like some imaginary advertising dystopia. Cue Iso Brain to the stage, a “cutting edge health supplement that helps you sustain clarity and focus all day long.”

Iso Brain is a proprietary formula that is supposed to aid in the enhancement of retention and recall while making you capable of expressing information more expediently. Whether it does all this is something we will explore here. But before we get to that, let’s take a look at the statements made by the company responsible for Iso Brain.

“Backed by 15 premium nootropic ingredients,” they write in their product description. “You can safely take four Iso Brain pills a day to maximize your memory, clarity, focus and mental agility. That makes us 75% more effective than our competitors!”

If you’re on the verge of screaming, “Fake news,” you’re not alone. How the people behind Iso Brain arrived at that figure is anyone’s guess and anyone’s guess would be wrong because arriving at such a figure is simply impossible. There is absolutely no way to confirm nor deny such a claim because they aren’t even bothering to reveal what they are basing that figure on. This is deliberate, folks! It’s a way to make their product sound better than the rest in a vague way that can’t be refuted nor corroborated in any way. To put it in different terms, they’re shouting fire in a theater, knowing full well that you won’t be there to see if there ever was a fire.

Let’s be real, all companies make wild claims to sell their wares and all companies lie about something or other. So before we indict the people who make Iso Brain on the above grounds, let’s take a closer look at the product itself.

The official website for Iso Brain is very slick, immediately reeling you in with a video depicting lab professionals preparing this “premium” brain concoction. They then claim to be 100% transparent, saying that Iso Brain isn’t a proprietary blend after all. And while that statement is debatable (how is it not a proprietary blend if they are a proprietorship and it is a blend?), their assertion that they are transparent actually does check out.

Unlike countless other “stacks” on the market, Iso Brain doesn’t just lump together a bunch of ingredients without measuring them out. They tell you exactly how much of each ingredient appears in each bottle, assuring the user that they are getting exactly what they need in order to reap the benefits of said ingredients. This is IMPORTANT for those seeking to expand their mental horizons—without sufficient dosage levels of each ingredient, you will, in all likelihood, see no positive effects.

Iso Brain contains all of the following:

  • Vitamin B3 (20 mg)
  • Vitamin B12 (1 mg)
  • Vitamin D3 (400 IU)
  • Magnesium (180 mg)
  • CoQ10 (100 mg)
  • Ginkgo Biloba (120 mg)
  • Vinpocetine (30 mg)
  • DMAE (100 mg)
  • Bacopa Monnieri (300 mg)
  • L-Tyrosine (500 mg)
  • 5-HTP (300 mg)
  • Green Tea (60 mg)
  • Choline (250 mg)
  • Inositol (250 mg)
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine (500 mg)

Everyone knows the value of the vitamins in this stack; B12 gives you energy and keeps you on your toes. B3 can help curb anxiety and acne while lowering cholesterol. Vitamin D3 acts as a shield against a number of diseases and protects against teeth and bone degeneration. And Magnesium can alleviate muscle aches and spasms, something that if vital for those doing repetitive mechanical writing for school or for those pumping serious iron.

Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant which powers the body, producing energy and warding off damage from harmful molecules. It is also a preventative measure against migraine headaches and is thought to be able to replenish the immune response of those afflicted with certain forms of cancer. It is well-regarded for its neuroprotective properties, making it a worthy addition to this blend.

As many of our regular readers will know, I am not a proponent of Ginkgo Biloba. I have found it to be a cheap and ineffective herbal supplement, one that just doesn’t work for my needs. As someone who suffers from fibromyalgia, I turned to Ginkgo Biloba for relief from my fatigue and joint pain. I saw no relief in either area, but that’s just me. Countless other people have been vocal about how much Ginkgo Biloba has helped them.

It is said to increase concentration, improve memory, bolster your libido, maintain strong vision, and combat depression and anxiety. Ginkgo has also been used to treat migraine headaches and to prevent the development of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Axe has written extensively about its energy-inducing benefits.

Vinpocetine is a prevalent drug in the realm of noots, having been marketed as a standalone drug as well as appearing in multiple stacks. A derivative of the alkaloid vincamine, Vinpocetine facilitates the treatment of senile dementia among other mental conditions. It has been endorsed by Dr. Oz for its ability to restore memory, maintain healthy blood pressure and fortify bone strength.

DMAE is famous for its mental functioning advantages; it causes an uptake in acetylcholine, thereby ameliorating memory and heightening mood. It has been used as a treatment for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and as a powerful anti-agining antioxidant. Some even call it “the smart nutrient.”

Bacopa Monnieri is an ancient herbal compound that has been wielded for the purposes of memory and  stress relief for longer than we know. As an adaptogen, Bacopa Monnieri aids us in getting used to new stressors as they are introduced into our lives. In addition to positively influencing brain cells and protecting against degeneration, Bacopa promotes liver health and stabilizes blood pressure.

L-Tyrosine elevates mood and acts as a natural sleep aid while causing superior memory formation and potentially burning fat. It is believed that L-Tyrosine could be beneficial to those with a dopamine deficiency as well. A wakefulness agent, L-Tyrosine is supposed to induce a state of general well-being.

5-HTP is crazy popular among the nootropic community for its anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) properties as well as its effect on those afflicted with sleep and mood disorders. 5-HTP is said to be a natural gift for both body and mind.

Green Tea contains L-Theanine, an important amino acid as well as a slew of potent antioxidants. It is believed to occlude mental decline over time. It has been in use for more than 3,000 years and shows no sign of slowing. As a manifold panacea, Green Tea is widely sought out for its positive effects on everything from digestive health and memory recall to healthy blood sugar levels and body temp.

Choline is essential for thinking and learning, and it is well-renowned as a memory tool to boot. A water-soluble nutrient, Choline protects the metabolism and improves hormone production. It has bene in use for some time as a treatment for a variety of cognitive abnormalities.

Inositol is a bit of a wonder drug, treating everything from panic attacks and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) to anxiety, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and depression. It is a natural mood-enhancer that has curried much favor with “natural warriors” across the Web and across the globe.

Last but not least, Acetyl-L-Carnitine is an integral substance for the optimization of the mind and body. It is a strong brain-boosting supplement which Dr. Ray Sahelian has called “the most important intermediary in the generation of energy from amino acids, fats, and carbohydrates,” adding that it “serves as an energy reservoir.”

When taken in tandem, there is much evidence to suggest that these ingredients could be advantageous to those looking for a sharper, more lucid experience.

The recommended dosage of Iso Brain is 2-4 pills a day. Do not exceed maximum dosage. If side effects develop discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention. Our readers are urged to consult with their doctors before taking Iso Brain. Always do your own independent research into the claims and ingredients of these products and determine for yourself what is right for you. Be safe, be smart and emancipate your mind.
